Cris Plata

Our latest CD, Migration Road, is back from being pressed and available online (see our store page).  The CD will also be available at upcoming events.   Cris also has a biography that has been released by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press; The Badger Biography Series.  The biography is titled: "Cris Plata: From Fields to Stage/Del Campo al Escenario" and is written by Maia A. Surdam.  Check out the link to the right for more info.

 Wednesday, May 29th: Olin Park Concert Series. Cris Plata and Extra Hot will be performing in the pavilion at Olin, 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Enjoy our music with a beautiful view of Madison and Lake Monona. Olin Park, 1156 Olin-Turville Court, Madison,WI  

 Sunday, June 16th: The Pursuit of Happiness Festival at the Milton McPike Park (between East Washington and Williamson St in Madison, WI).  The big band will be performing at the Chicory Stage during the 4:15 to 5:30 performance slot.  Cris has the MC duties for this stage the entire day so be sure to see him, the band and all of the other acts at this fun festival.  

 Saturday, June 29th: The International Festival. Cris Plata Trio will be playing again at this great annual event. Come out and enjoy a full day of music, dance and food from around the world. Overture Center, Main Lobby Stage. (201 State St. Madison, WI) (Our set time TBA)

  Saturday, August 24th: Bluegrass In The Pines. Cris Plata Trio is making it's first appearance at this great midwest festival. Come up to central Wisconsin and catch a full weekend of great musical acts from around the world. Rosholt,WI 54473. Rosholt Fair Park, 186 W. Forest St. We will be playing at 1:00 pm & 7:00 pm.

 Monday, September 2nd: Labor Fest. Cris Plata & Extra Hot will be playing at this annual event celebrating the working class right to organize! Come out and lend your voices to help America right to union representation. Food and games for all ages. Bring a lawn chair and kick back with great music. We play from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. 1602 South Park St, Madison,WI   

Saturday, September 21st: A Breath of Fresh Art. Cris Plata (solo) This event takes place throughout the 68 acre property of Primerose Retreat, in the woods, fields, on porches, decks and in barns. Writers, dancers, musicians and visual artists will be feature at this event that brings urban and rural together. I will be playing 4 times through out the day. Don't miss your chance to attend a one of a kind event. Primrose Township is located south of Mt. Vernon,WI.
